Training Logger Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Elmvick ("Elmvick", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the Training Logger mobile application, its Wear OS companion, and the related online services (together, the "Service").
1. Scope and age eligibility
Training Logger's account, cloud, passive health capture, and personalized online services are for people who confirm that they are at least 16 years of age. If you do not confirm that you are 16 or older, only limited local training and nutrition features may remain available. Those restricted users cannot create or use an account, synchronize data to the cloud, use passive Daily Movement, or use personalized online AI features.
We do not knowingly collect personal information through the restricted online features from anyone under 16. If you believe that a person under 16 provided personal information to us, contact support@elmvick.com.
2. Information we process
Account and authentication information
If you create or use an account, we process your email address, display name, authentication-provider identifiers, internal user identifier, and authentication/security metadata. Authentication may be provided by email and password, Google, or Apple, depending on platform and availability. The authentication provider may separately process data under its own privacy terms.
Profile and preferences
You may provide age or date-of-birth information, sex, height, weight, goals, activity level, training preferences, nutrition preferences, language, units, notification preferences, and other information used to configure the Service. Eligibility confirmation and the version of the accepted eligibility notice are also stored.
Training, nutrition, and fitness information
Depending on the features you use, Training Logger may process:
- workouts, exercises, routines, sets, repetitions, weight, duration, notes, and progress;
- meals, ingredients, calories, macros, nutrition targets, and optional meal photos;
- body measurements, fitness estimates, training load, recovery signals, and related trends;
- workout route, speed, distance, elevation, heart-rate, and step information;
- notification, foreground-service, synchronization, and data-quality status needed to operate the requested tracking features.
Daily Movement, sensors, Wear OS, and Health Connect
If you enable Daily Movement, Training Logger can use Android activity recognition and step sensors to estimate steps and time spent walking, running, cycling, or in a vehicle. It may calculate distance, speed, active time, and energy estimates. Because these are sensor-based estimates, they can be incomplete or inaccurate.
The Wear OS companion may process steps, heart rate, exercise metrics, and workout routes when you start or enable the relevant features. With your permission, Training Logger may also import supported exercise, distance, steps, heart-rate, energy, and related records from Health Connect. You can revoke Health Connect access in Android settings. Health Connect data is used to provide fitness, history, reconciliation, and optional personalized features; it is not used for advertising.
Passive capture can continue while the app is not visible only after you enable it and grant the required permissions. Android displays a persistent foreground-service notification while applicable continuous capture is active, and the app provides controls to stop or disable it.
Location information
Training Logger asks Android for both approximate and precise location when a feature needs reliable route or speed information. Precise location is used for user-started workout routes and, if you enable passive vehicle-trip detection, to distinguish movement patterns and estimate trip duration, speed, and distance. Approximate location alone may be insufficient for those features.
During passive movement capture, ambient coordinates may be used locally to derive speed and movement evidence. Ambient coordinates are not treated as a workout route unless route or trip recording is active. Saved routes or trip summaries may be synchronized with your account when cloud synchronization is enabled. Training Logger does not request Android's background-location permission; applicable continuous location use occurs through a user-enabled foreground service with a persistent notification.
App, device, and diagnostics information
We may process app version, operating-system version, language, device category, feature status, crash or error information, synchronization status, and limited usage events needed to secure, diagnose, maintain, and improve the Service. We do not use this information to serve ads.
Purchases and subscriptions
Google Play Billing processes purchases and subscriptions. We may receive product, entitlement, transaction-status, purchase-token, and renewal information needed to unlock and restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide support. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide training, nutrition, Daily Movement, Wear OS, Health Connect, route, and synchronization features;
- authenticate accounts, maintain security, prevent abuse, and restore access;
- calculate and display user-requested metrics, histories, summaries, plans, and recommendations;
- provide personalized AI only after the required disclosure has been accepted;
- process purchases and manage entitlements;
- diagnose faults, measure reliability, and improve the Service;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
4. Personalized AI and OpenAI
Personalized AI is optional. Before the first personalized online AI request, Training Logger shows a disclosure and asks for your explicit acceptance. You can decline and continue using non-AI features, or revoke acceptance later in Settings.
When you choose a personalized AI feature, Training Logger sends the relevant request through the Training Logger backend. Depending on the feature, the request can include your message, selected profile details, training or nutrition history and context, and an optional meal photo. The backend uses OpenAI to generate the requested response. Relevant health or fitness context is processed by contracted service providers only when you enable and use personalized AI; it is not sent for advertising or sale.
Non-personalized local fallbacks may remain available without AI acceptance. Operational account-deletion and quota-metadata requests do not use the personalized-AI content path.
5. Storage and service providers
Data may be stored locally on your device. If you sign in and enable cloud-backed features, supported account, profile, training, nutrition, Daily Movement, and route records may be stored in Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. We use secure network connections for data in transit.
We use service providers for the purposes described in this policy:
- Google Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, configuration, diagnostics, and—only when permitted—Firebase Analytics;
- OpenAI, through the Training Logger backend, for optional personalized AI requests;
- Google Play for app distribution, purchase processing, licensing, and subscription management;
- infrastructure providers needed to host and secure the Training Logger backend.
Firebase Analytics is controlled by the app's analytics-consent setting. When enabled, it may process app-interaction, app-instance, device, and performance information to help us understand feature reliability and use. Training Logger contains no third-party advertising and does not sell personal, location, health, or fitness data. We do not use health or fitness data for advertising or data-broker purposes.
6. Sharing and international processing
We disclose information only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, protect users and the Service, complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards, or follow your direction. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, clear app data, sign out where sign-out clears user data, delete your account, or uninstall the app, subject to the behavior of device backups. Cloud records are kept while needed to provide your account and are deleted or de-identified when the account is deleted, except for limited security logs, backups, purchase records, or records that must be retained for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Provider systems may retain information for their documented backup or security periods.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account from Training Logger: open Settings > Account > Delete account, complete the required reauthentication or confirmation, and approve permanent deletion. This sends an authenticated deletion request for the account and associated Training Logger cloud data and clears local user data. The operation is permanent.
If you cannot access the app, email support@elmvick.com from the address associated with the account. We may need to verify ownership before acting. This section is the public account-deletion instructions page: https://elmvick.com/training-logger/privacy-policy.html#delete-account.
8. Your choices and rights
You can change sensor, notification, location, and Health Connect permissions in Android settings; disable Daily Movement or cloud synchronization in the app; decline or revoke personalized-AI acceptance; and change analytics consent. Some features cannot operate without the information or permission they require.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, or to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise a right. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access controls and encrypted network transport. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Health and medical disclaimer
Training Logger is a fitness and wellness tool, not a medical device. Estimates and AI-generated content are informational and may be inaccurate. They do not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek qualified medical help for health concerns or before making significant changes to exercise or nutrition.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service, providers, or law. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
12. Contact
Questions, privacy requests, and account-deletion requests can be sent to support@elmvick.com.
